What makes it quietly remarkable is its integration with Aquaponics, where food and growing live in balance, as they have always tried to do in the Karoo. Guests are welcome to enjoy guided tours of the aquaponics system, learning how water, plants, and fish work together to create something sustainable and deeply in tune with the land. It’s the kind of spot where a quick stop turns into a long visit, without anyone noticing the time.

Our aquaponics operation continues to run seven days a week in the background, as we keep growing and supplying fresh and dried medicinal herbs as well as essential oils .

We remain very much operational and here for you. If you would like to visit outside the above times – whether as a local resident, group or visitor to Merweville – we are happy to accommodate pre booked visits and functions where possible.
