WHERE IS MERWEVILLE

The turn off from the N1 to the town is 115km from Beaufort West on the way to Cape Town and 85km from Laingsburg on the way North. 
The 44km tar road to Merweville is in a very good condition. The speed limit is 100kph and an easy 30 minute drive to town. Traffic during the Dankfees weekend may be a bit busy but otherwise you could see one other vehicle on the road - and very likely a farmer in his bakkie.
The gravel roads in the area are generally in a good condition, but be aware of the Kudu threat.  The roads carry little traffic so ensure you are prepared should you have a breakdown and or puncture.  A bottle of water is always recommended.
